PAUL BOOTH
NADA MIAMI ONLINE & IN NYC
December 1 - 5, 2020
PAUL BOOTH (b. 1978, Akron, Ohio) is exhibiting intimate drawings exploring recurring themes, such as self-portraiture, literary and mythical figures, religious iconography, and Sisyphean feats. Compositions, whether populated by many bodies or a single figure, occupy a compressed space. The picture plane creates a boundary with figures pushed to the edges, filling the space with layered marks of colored pencil, ink, gouache, watercolor and crayon. Booth graduated with his BFA from Arizona State University and currently lives and works in New York City.
