ALINA BLIUMIS
Alina Bliumis' exceptionally diverse practice establishes a unique conceptual framework for each series, exploring the complex relationship between humanity, politics, and nature. Her work utilizes a variety of techniques and mediums while referencing relevant art historical contexts. Bliumis considers the destructive impact of human activity on the earth, and its resources, to envision alternate worlds. By inverting power dynamics, Bliumis reveals a deep, instinctual desire to connect with other living things and challenges the limits of control.
